Product description

The ZK-E is a vertical corner protector for 90° angles manufactured entirely from Zikonyl®, a material with BS1d0 certification for low smoke emission in accordance with EN 13501-1. The Zikonyl® profile is fixed directly to the wall using neutral silicone, without the need to drill into the wall or use an internal aluminium core.

The textured visible surface of the Zikonyl® naturally conceals the scratches that accumulate through daily use, maintaining a neat appearance for years without the need for maintenance. It is a solution particularly suited to installations in hospitals, care homes and public buildings, where the ZK-E is often combined with the ZK-O handrail for comprehensive corridor protection.

Installation is quick and clean: the profile is cut to the required length and neutral silicone is applied to the smooth face before pressing the profile against the corner. Prior surface preparation is essential to ensure optimal and long-lasting adhesion.

Assembly guide

Step-by-step installation

Preparing the wall:

Walls must be finished and painted before installation. No prior reinforcement is required.

Cut to size

Cut the Zikonyl® profile to the required dimensions using a fine circular saw or a professional utility knife.

03

Clean the surfaces

Thoroughly clean the inside of the profile and the wall of dust and impurities. This step is essential for long-lasting adhesion.

04

Apply adhesive and fix.

Apply neutral silicone or contact adhesive to the smooth side of the profile and press firmly against the wall until it cures.
