Product description
The ZK-X is a vertical corner protector made of a structural aluminum profile coated with Zikonyl®, our BS1d0 certified low-smoke material. Its robust design makes it particularly suitable for corridor corners in hospitals, care homes, and public buildings with heavy bed and wheelchair traffic.
One of the most outstanding features of the ZK-X is its textured front surface: thanks to this finish, everyday scratches are naturally concealed, maintaining its aesthetic appearance for years without the need for additional maintenance.
The aluminum is fixed to the wall using wall plugs and screws, or with neutral silicone if the wall requires it. The end caps are reversible (suitable for both sides) and are installed before clipping on the Zikonyl® profile. The Zikonyl® profile is supplied 2 mm longer than the aluminum for a perfect fit.
If a skirting board is present, only the top cap is installed. If there is no skirting board, two caps (top and bottom) are installed to prevent the Zikonyl® from slipping. Minimum installation measurement: 40 mm.

Structural aluminum profile, Zikonyl® coating, and reversible end caps for installation with or without a skirting board.
Installation diagram
Recommended spacing between fixings: 400–600 mm. Anchors should never be directly opposite each other to avoid weakening the wall.
Step-by-step installation

Preparing the wall:
Walls must be finished and painted before installation. No prior reinforcement is required.
02
Aluminum cutting and drilling
Cut and drill the two aluminum profiles to the required dimensions. Spacing between fixings: 400–600 mm per piece.
03
Place the end-caps
If there is a baseboard: only install the top cover.
If there is no baseboard: install both the top and bottom covers.
Mount the covers onto the aluminum before attaching it to the wall.
04
Clip the Zikonyl®
Screw the aluminum profile to the wall and then clip on the Zikonyl® cladding, which is 2 mm longer for a perfect fit.
