Product description

The ZK-V protective handrail consists of an aluminium frame and a Zikonyl® PVC profile, specifically designed to protect walls from knocks and wear and tear caused by continuous use and the passage of time. As well as protecting the wall, it can be used as a support, making it particularly suitable for medical centres, care homes and hospitals.

The ZK-V is installed directly onto double plasterboard or brick partition walls without the need for internal reinforcement, eliminating the need for additional building work and reducing the total cost of installation.

The brackets are spaced at equal intervals — the recommended spacing is 800 to 1000 mm — and do not need to align with the metal studs in the plasterboard. The ZK-V profile also allows for continuity.

The ZK-V handrail is delivered to the customer cut to size and fully assembled, complete with end caps and brackets.

The BS1d0 fire reaction certification — in accordance with standard EN 13501-1 — classifies it in the most stringent category for building materials used in public buildings, hospitals and care homes.

The minimum installation width for the ZK-V model is 310 mm
