Product description

The ZK-H is a horizontal wall protector made of aluminium with a Zikonyl® coating, certified as fire-resistant to BS1d0 in accordance with standard EN 13501-1. Its distinctive feature is the 58 mm gap between the profile and the wall, achieved using rubber spacers (ref. ZK301), which act as shock absorbers and allow the profile to absorb even the most intense impacts without damaging the wall surface.

Following any impact, Zikonyl® returns to its original shape and dimensions, ensuring a durable finish even in high-traffic environments such as hospital corridors and care homes.

With a width of 100 mm, the ZK-H provides a concentrated and efficient protective strip in the area most exposed to impacts from beds and wheelchairs.

All Zikonyl® designs take into account ease of installation and reduced fitting times. The end caps are reversible (suitable for both right and left) and are fitted before the Zikonyl® profile is clipped into place.

The minimum installation width for the ZK-H model is 151 mm.

System breakdown

Assembly guide

Step-by-step installation

Prepare the wall

The walls where it will be installed must be finished and painted before starting the assembly.

Cutting and drilling the aluminum

Cut the aluminum profile to the required size and drill the fixing points with a separation of 600 to 1000 mm between anchors.

Place the endcaps

The end caps (valid for both right and left positions) are mounted before clipping the Zikonyl® profile..

04

Clip the Zikonyl®

Screw the aluminum profile to the wall and then clip on the Zikonyl® cladding, which is 2 mm longer for a perfect fit..
