Product description

The ZK-T is a horizontal wall protector comprising an outer coating of Zikonyl® BS1d0 and a full-length internal profile made of high-strength plastic. This design makes it more robust than other models featuring aluminium sections, as it eliminates areas with no impact absorption and ensures uniform strength along the entire length of the profile.

Its width of 200 mm enables it to protect the wall from objects at different heights, absorbing the impact and subsequently returning to its original shape and dimensions.

This model is particularly suitable for care homes and centres for people with disabilities, where typical traffic includes wheelchairs weighing approximately 200 kg. For hospitals with heavier beds, we recommend the ZK-Z model.

Installation is made easier by fitting a single continuous section rather than individual pieces that need to be levelled, ensuring a better finish and reducing costs. The polyamide end caps are suitable for both the right and left sides.

System breakdown

Aluminum profile, Zikonyl coating, and reversible right/left end caps. The Zikonyl coating is supplied 2 mm longer than the aluminum for a perfect fit.

Assembly guide

Step-by-step installation

Prepare the wall

The walls where it will be installed must be finished and painted before starting the assembly.

Cut and drill the plastic base

Cut the profile to the required size and drill the fixing points with a separation of 600 to 1000 mm between anchors.

Place the endcaps

The end caps (valid for both right and left positions) are mounted before clipping the Zikonyl® profile..

04

Clip the Zikonyl®

Screw the aluminum profile to the wall and then clip on the Zikonyl® cladding, which is 2 mm longer for a perfect fit..
