Product description

The ZK-Y guardrail is a highly durable decorative protection system comprising a structural aluminium profile coated with Zikonyl®, our material certified to BS1d0 for low smoke emission in accordance with standard EN 13501-1.

With a width of 100 mm, it effectively protects walls from objects located at different heights simultaneously. It is particularly suitable for hospital corridors, care homes, hotels and any high-traffic area where extensive coverage is required without needing the extra-wide format of the ZK-Z.

The ZK-Y is designed so that, when absorbing an impact, the Zikonyl® never damages the wall. After an impact, the material returns to its original shape and dimensions, retaining its appearance intact for years.

The end caps are reversible, suitable for both the right and left sides, and are fitted before the Zikonyl® cladding is clipped into place.

The aluminium profile is cut and drilled on site. To ensure a better fit, the Zikonyl® is supplied 2 mm longer than the aluminium. Minimum installation width: 111 mm.

Assembly guide

Step-by-step installation

Prepare the wall

The walls where it will be installed must be finished and painted before starting the assembly.

Cutting and drilling the aluminum

Cut the aluminum profile to the required size and drill the fixing points with a separation of 600 to 1000 mm between anchors.

Place the endcaps

The end caps (valid for both right and left positions) are mounted before clipping the Zikonyl® profile..

04

Clip the Zikonyl®

Screw the aluminum profile to the wall and then clip on the Zikonyl® cladding, which is 2 mm longer for a perfect fit..
